The pirate

The one who guards the door

He's painted on the door, pointing inward, with the night sea behind him. He isn't decoration — he's the name of the house. A pirate guards treasure, and ours comes out of the sea every day.

The style

The way it's eaten in Sinaloa

Aguachile that actually bites. Oysters opened to order. Shrimp cocktail served cold in a goblet with its saltine on the side. This isn't Tex-Mex seafood — it's how it's made on the coast.

Camarones aguachiles — camarón en aguachile con pepino y aguacate

The freshest there is

Fresh seafood every day

Quality ingredients and fresh product daily — it's what our sign says and it's what holds the kitchen up. Nothing is made ahead and left waiting for someone to order it.

Our other house

We're on the East Side too

We're the second location. The first, El Pirata Seafood Mexican Foodbar, is still open on the east side of the city, with its bar and its screens. Same kitchen, different part of town.
